My Story: Unfolding the Layers of Languages
Let’s embark on a journey through my academic pursuits. In the lively city of La Coruña, Spain, I embarked on a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics. This wasn't just an academic pursuit; it was an immersive experience in a new cultural landscape, enriching my understanding of how languages shape human connections.
Rewind to my days at Al Albayt University in Jordan, where I pursued a Bachelor's in Spanish-English Languages. Here, I was not just learning languages but also weaving together the colorful strands of diverse cultures. This phase of my life was about discovering the unique beauty and nuances of each language, allowing me to see the world through a multi-lingual lens.
These educational chapters not only honed my language skills but also expanded my worldview, instilling in me a deep appreciation for the global mosaic of cultures.
Beyond the Classroom
My approach to teaching Arabic goes beyond conventional methods. As a Fulbright Arabic Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at Kenyon College, Ohio, I aimed to bring the vibrant essence of Jordanian and Palestinian cultures into the classroom. My goal has always been to transform each lesson into an explorative journey into the heart of the Arabic-speaking world.
Embracing Every Student's Journey
I have had the privilege of teaching Spanish to a diverse group of immigrants and refugees in Spain and bringing Arabic lessons to eager learners in Costa Rica through online platforms. I believe in understanding each student's unique background, making the learning process both impactful and enjoyable.
